Field day about golf course irrigation, June 11th, Romerike GC
Scarcity of potable water for irrigation has become an issue even in the Nordic countries. The objective of FAIR WATER (2023-2026) is to (1) identify drought resistant cultivars and seed blends/mixtures of turfgrass species available in Europe, (2) explore the potential of soil surfactants to prevent drought on fairways, and (3) to elucidate the potential for brackish or effluent water to replace potable water for turfgrass irrigation. As part of the project, demo trials and field days are set up on golf courses in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany in 2025 and 2026. Talks are given in English or Scandinavian language depending on the preference of the audience.
Take this opportunity to see the demo trial at Romerike GC and be updated about the latest research in turfgrass irrigation. Register no later than June 5th.
